Exclusive! Sanjay Dutt returns to shoot for ‘Shamshera’, post which he will return for second round of treatment

Sanjay Dutt refuses to let his health scare come in the way of his passions for films. After being reportedly diagnosed for lung cancer, Sanjay Dutt completed the first cycle of chemotherapy over the weekend and was quick to report on the sets of his next film. A source exclusively informed ETimes, “Sanjay Dutt is back to shooting for ‘Shamshera’. He will be shooting for two days, after which he will go in for the next leg his treatment.” Snapped by the paparazzi outside a Mumbai studio, Sanjay Dutt waved at the flashing cameras.
Previously, ETimes had reported that Sanjay Dutt had successfully completed his first round of chemotherapy and the second round is set to begin this week. The ‘Vaastav’ actor has taken the first cycle very well and is optimistically looking ahead for the second cycle to begin. However, it is not yet known how many cycles will be required yet.
Sanjay Dutt had earlier considered flying out to the US for treatment, but Maanayata Dutt had confirmed that the actor’s initial treatment will happen in Mumbai. “For those asking, Sanju will complete his preliminary treatment in Mumbai. We will formulate further plans of travel depending on how and when the covid situation eases,” Maanayata had shared in an official statement.
